Management Techniques for Digital Eye Strain
If you spend a lot of time using a computer or other digital devices, you may benefit from these management techniques and products.
The 20-20-20 rule is a technique you can use to help reduce digital eye strain. Every 20 minutes, make sure you’re taking a break to look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.
The regular breaks help to rest your eyes and reduce the effects of prolonged near focusing.
The way you arrange your workspace can help reduce digital eye strain. Make sure your computer monitor isn’t too close to your face; it should be at least an arm’s length away and about 10 to 15 degrees below your eyes. You may also benefit from decreasing your screen brightness and adjusting your color saturation settings.
